The Local Forster and Tuncurry Region
Their are 6 beaches within the Forster/Tuncurry main area:
- Tuncurry Beach, offers a nice dog-friendly beach next to Wallis Lake entrance.
- The Rockpool, adjacent to Tuncurry Beach offers a safe swimming area, kiosk, picnic area etc.
- Forster Beach, adjacent the Southern breakwater in Forster is patrolled in season.
- The ocean baths are at its Southern edge.
- Pebbly Beach is the next beach along, which is another good surfing spot.
- One Mile Beach is the most popular surfing spot, with the Southern end patrolled in season.
- Burgess Beach is the Southern most beach in the Forster area with interesting rock formations and safe swimming spots.
- McBrides Beach is the last of the town beaches. This is 4WD access only leading down to the beach, or you can walk the challenging track to the bottom.
